CINCINNATI -- Cincinnati Public Schools will close Wednesday due to extreme cold, according to CPS spokeswoman Lauren Worley.
Temperatures will drop to around zero Tuesday night, and wind chills will drop to dangerous levels Wednesday morning. Wind chills will range from -15 to -30 through the majority of the day.
Staff members should still come to school, Worley said. The district will decide at about 5 p.m. Tuesday whether it will be closed for employees.
All middle school and elementary school sports events will be canceled. High school sports will be canceled on a case-by-case basis.
