HAMILTON, Ohio - A Cincinnati man is recovering from a gunshot wound to the leg Thursday night in Hamilton, according to police.

Jarod Thompson, 30, was hanging out with some people in the 400 block of Front Street about 10:30 p.m. when he got into an altercation and was shot, according to Hamilton Sgt. Brian Robinson.

Thompson got into a car and was found a short time later by officers on the west side of the Columbia Bridge. He was transported by medical helicopter to University of Cincinnati Medical Center, where he underwent surgery, Robinson said.

Officers found the shooting scene “but at this time people are being uncooperative,” Robinson said.
