CINCINNATI -- A man was found shot in the stomach near a White Castle in Avondale Sunday morning, according to Cincinnati District 4 police.
Police responded to the shooting at the 2600 block of Reading Road at around 9:30 a.m. Sunday, according to dispatchers.

Sergeant Stephen Hoerst w/Cincinnati PD says a man was shot once in the stomach and taken to UC Medical. His condition is unclear. @WCPO

The victim told police the shooting happened a few blocks away at the corner of Hemlock and McMillan streets. He was transported to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center and his condition is unclear at this time.
The shooting victim did not offer an explanation for why he apparently walked to White Castle after being shot. @WCPO
