CINCINNATI -- Martaisha Thomas' family just got her home for the start of the holiday season.
The little girl loves "Frozen" -- like pretty much every other 4-year-old.
But she's not just any youngster. Her scars show that.
Taisha, as she's called by her family, was shot in the head outside an Avondale apartment building July 30, the victim of a stray bullet. She'd been hospitalized for months.
But her grandfather, Donald Fairbanks, said the girl is resilient and recovering.
"She's still the same from before she got shot. It's like nothing changed," Fairbanks said.
Watch the video above to see how her case became a turning point for what neighbors say was one of Avondale's most crime-ridden streets.
