ANDERSON TOWNSHIP, Ohio — The Hamilton County Sheriff's Office issued a reminder to residents not to fall for the common jury duty scam on Friday.
At least one Anderson Township resident was the target of the scam this week, a sheriff's office spokesperson said in a news release. Scammers call residents posing as representatives of the sheriff's office. The scammers threaten residents with arrest telling the victim they have missed jury duty. The callers attempt to get money from the victims as part of the scam.
