CINCINNATI — A pursuit that began in Anderson Township early Thursday morning ended with a deputy using a Taser on a suspect, according to Lt. David Daugherty.

Daugherty said a deputy attempted to make a traffic stop at about 5:52 a.m. on Clough Pike near Eight Mile Road.

The driver, Samuel Willman II, 24, tried to escape and led the deputy on a short chase before he got out of his car on Colter Avenue and ran into the woods, Daugherty said.

The deputy chased after the suspect, used a Taser on him and took him into custody, Daugherty said. First responders treated Willman at the scene.

Willman had a felony warrant out for his arrest from Clermont County on a charge of aggravated drug possession. He is now also charged with some minor traffic infractions, failure to comply, resisting arrest, disruptions to business and driving under suspension.

Willman is being held at the Hamilton County Justice Center. He does not yet have a court date to have his bail set.
