CINCINNATI -- A University of Cincinnati student died while skiing in California on Sunday, according to her family and UC officials.
Natalie Altieri was interning in Los Angeles at the time of her death. At UC, she was a member of the Cincy Snowcats skiing and snowboarding club, Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority and studying fashion design at UC's Design, Architecture, Art and Planning program.
My heart goes out to the friends and family of Natalie Altieri. We are fortunate that she graced the halls of the University of Cincinnati.

Her sister, Audrey, posted on Facebook Sunday confirming Natalie died and thanking friends "for being such a special part of her life."
"Today I lost my best friend, and I cannot imagine my life without her. My family and I are heartbroken. We truly appreciate your prayers and positive thoughts," the post said. "As we make arrangements, we will communicate them to her friends and family by posting them on Facebook and publishing in the Canton Repository."
