MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- A woman was caught on camera stealing Christmas decorations from a private residents front yard, but Melinda Farthing and her neighbors say it's not the first time the unknown woman has done this.
Between the stolen items and installing a security system, Farthing, of Middletown, said she's spend about $800 as a result of the repeated thefts.
On Wednesday, Farthing said the woman shown on her security footage stole an eight-foot snowman and a Garfield and Odie carousel from her front yard.
Farthing said it's heartbreaking telling her kids what happened, but she isn't going to let this ruin her holiday sprit.
"We're not going to let this person steal our joy," she said. "We replaced a few things and she took those too. How many times am I going to have to spend my hard-earned money to replace things for her to just come along and continue to take them?"
Instead, she's taking to social media to help find the suspect and save Christmas.
This woman has been to my house twice and stolen a total of $250 worth of decorations in the last week. Please please...
