ERLANGER, Ky. — Two more students were arrested in Boone County on Monday after police said they threatened to shoot up the Ignite Academy in Erlanger.

According to the Boone County Sheriff's Office, deputies interviewed the students at their homes Monday afternoon once the police learned about the threats.

One student admitted to making the threats, but said they were meant as a joke. The other student showed the police a Snapchat message with the watergun and dynamite emojis and the message "Don't come to school tomorrow."

Police arrested both students and charged them with terroristic threatening. Deputies are holding both juveniles in the Campbell Regional Juvenile Detention Center, and they will appear in front of a juvenile court judge Tuesday morning.

These are the second and third juveniles arrested in less than a week in Boone Co. for making terroristic threats. Another student threatened to shoot up Jones Middle School, and that student was arrested on Saturday.
