HEBRON, Ky. -- Police arrested two suspects at the airport after the pair picked up packages that smelled like marijuana at baggage claim; police stunned one of the suspects with a Taser when he tried to run away, according to Bobby Spann, a CVG spokesman.

Police had been watching two suspicious packages after a Frontier flight landed from Las Vegas late Monday night.

Authorities approached Cameron Morton, 26, and Kenneth McCleod, 28, to question them when the pair picked the bags up at baggage claim. Morton tried to run away, and an officer stunned him with a Taser.

Both Morton and McCleod stand charged with trafficking less than five pounds of marijuana and possession of marijuana. Morton is also charged with fleeing or evading police.

Airport officials say there was never a concern for passenger safety, and the incident didn’t impact daily operations.

Both suspects are being held at the Boone County Jail. A judge issued a $10,000 bond for both suspects, and they are scheduled to appear in court Nov. 26.
