Parties offer prime views of 2018 Western & Southern / WEBN Fireworks

If you don’t want to join the crowd at Riverfest, there will be plenty of watch parties for the Western & Southern/WEBN Fireworks on Sunday.

Newport Central Catholic High School’s Family Fireworks Fest: Starts at 5 p.m. Sunday. Newport Central Catholic High School, 13 Carothers Road, Newport. $5 admission; ages 6 and under free. ncchs.com

Fireworks Party featuring Grave friends: Starts at 7 p.m. Sunday. Grave Friends, Odium, Altar of Lilith, the Human Tragedy, I Hate Heroes and Vain Interior. The Thompson House, 24 E. Third St., Newport. All ages. $10. http://thompsonhousenewport.com

Fireworks Extravaganza: Starts at noon Sunday. Newport Beach Patio Bar, 120 E. Third St., Newport. Live music by Comfortably Broke from 2-5 p.m., the Tyler Moore Band from 5-9 p.m. and more music by DJ Vue & Storm after the fireworks. Free admission. 

Queen City Riverboats: Boarding begins at 5 p.m. Sunday; boat departs at 6 p.m. 100 O'Fallon Ave., Dayton, Kentucky. Dinner cruise includes panko crusted chicken, roast beef, roasted red-skin potatoes, vegetable medley, roll, cheesecake, salad and a cash bar. Party cruise includes prime fireworks viewing area and a full cash bar and snacks. Dinner cruise: $120; Party cruise: $65. 859-292-8687.

Boom on the BridgeBegins at 6 p.m. Sunday; Purple People Bridge, 1 Levee Way, Newport. Tickets to the event give you a birdseye view of the WEBN fireworks from the bridge, along with beer, wine, soft drinks, water, unlimited grill-out food, live music and free parking. Admission gets you two alcoholic beverage drink tickets per person. Tickets are $100 per person; $50 for children ages 3-12; children under 3 are free. purplepeoplebridge.com

RiverBlast 2018: Party starts at 5 p.m. inside the Great American Ball Park Champion Club. 100 Joe Nuxhall Way, Downtown. Behind-the-scenes ballpark tours, dinner and private reserved seating for the fireworks. Individual tickets $200; Table of 8: $1,500. gateway.kctcs.edu/giving/Riverblast2018

Axis Alley Fireworks Party: The party starts at 5 p.m.; Axis Alley is hosting the party inside the old Jefferson Hall at Newport on the Levee. Tickets include three drink tickets per person and up-close table for optimal fireworks viewing. $50 per person; $90 per couple; $180 table for four. axisalleylevee.com
