CINCINNATI -- Almost a thousand people have already cast their vote for president in Hamilton County after one day of early voting.

According to Sherry Poland at the Board of Elections, 914 early votes were cast in Hamilton County Wednesday, the first day of early voting in the 2016 presidential election.

Of those 914 votes, 567 came from registered Democrats and 112 came from registered Republicans. Another 225 votes came from individuals who are not affiliated with a major party, Poland said.

In Franklin County, Ohio -- the state's capital -- 2,300 early voted on the first day.

In the first week of early voting, Republican nominee Donald Trump is holding his first campaign rally in Cincinnati. The next day, former President Bill Clinton will host a rally in Washington Park.
