A 15-year-old girl was arrested Monday and charged with terroristic threatening after telling a classmate she planned a shooting at Cooper High School.

According to deputies, the suspect was in class at Cooper when she told the classmate: “You’re going to be on my list.”

“What list?” the classmate asked.

“My list for when I shoot up the school.”

The classmate reported the threat, and Boone County deputies investigated after school. According to a news release, she admitted to making the threat but claimed she was joking.

She was arrested and taken to the Campbell County Juvenile Detention Center, where she remained overnight.
