SYMMES TOWNSHIP, Ohio -- Deputies arrested the man accused of kidnapping an 84-year-old woman at knifepoint, stealing her money and forcing her to chauffeur him to a drug deal, according to the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office.
Brent Engel, 31, faces charges of aggravated robbery and abduction. Deputies arrested him at 2 p.m. Saturday in Price Hill, Hamilton County Sheriff Jim Neil said.
Authorities believe Engel cornered and threatened the victim when she returned to her car after shopping at the CVS on Loveland Madeira Road on Thursday. Engel then forced her to drive to an ATM, withdraw money and drive him to purchase drugs, which he then used in the car. After five hours of ordering the victim to drive him around Hamilton County, Engel exited the vehicle and escaped near Montgomery Road in Symmes Township, Neil said.
Engel is being held at the Hamilton County Justice Center.
