LEBANON, Ohio -- A milk delivery driver pleaded guilty Friday to smuggling drugs and cellphones into the Warren County Correctional Institution with his deliveries.

Investigators found 30 milk cartons containing marijuana, tobacco and 12 cellphones in a United Dairy truck driven to the prison by 50-year-old Ray Adams Jr., Warren County Prosecutor David Fornshell announced.

Adams admitted he'd been approached by an inmate to bring the contraband into the prison, according to Fornshell. He said he'd made about $2,000 for delivering the items. Authorities seized $1,000 cash Adams had in the truck.

Adams pleaded guilty to illegal conveyance of drugs into a detention facility. He will be sentenced at a later date.
