PD: Man spit on deputy, kicked cop after chase

CINCINNATI -  A 19-year-old man is accused of spitting on a deputy and kicking another officer in the face after a stolen car chase on the west side Saturday.

Taylor Blasé Pittman, the passenger, and Tyler Harper, the driver, led police on a chase from Ross Township to Cleves, according to police.

Both men bailed out of the moving car, which then crashed into a metal fence on Valley Junction Road in Cleves.  They made a run for it but didn't get far.

Pittman, 19,  fought with arresting officers and spit on a Hamilton County deputy, according to an affidavit. Pittman then tried to kick out the window of a cruiser. When a Delhi Township officer opened the door, Pittman kicked him in the face and busted his lip, the officer said.

Harper, 24, drove the stolen 2009 Pathfinder from State Route 128 to Harrison Avenue to Dry Fork Road, then to Simonson Road, Kilby Road and U.S. 50, according to a deputy's statement.

Pittman, of Rising Sun, Indiana, is charged with assault, vandalism, harassment with a  bodily substance,  making terrorist threats, misdemeanor drug abuse, possessing drug instruments and carrying concealed weapons.

Harper, of West Chester, Ohio, is charged with receiving stolen property, failure to comply, driving under suspension and failure to maintain control.

Both men are  scheduled to appear in Room A Monday.
