INDIAN HILL, Ohio -- Special agents with the Internal Revenue Service on Tuesday raided the home of Greg VanDemark, owner of the VanDemark Company.

Federal agents were not only at VanDemark's home, but also at his business in Amelia. The VanDemark Company sells used cars, auto parts, boats and other accessories.

Craig Casserly, an IRS spokesman, acknowledged the agency's presence at the home but would not discuss why.

"All I can say at this time is that we are at this address on official business," Casserly said.

Casserly did explain what types of things his office investigates.

"The IRS Criminal Investigation does investigate violations of income tax fraud, money laundering and Bank Secrecy Act violations," Casserly said.

The Small Business Database states that VanDemark has been in business since 1976.

Reached at his Brown County vacation home, VanDemark said, "I have no comment."

A federal judge sealed details of the investigation and evidence seized at VanDemark's home and business.
