CINCINNATI — A Hamilton County grand jury indicted a man who's accused of fatally shooting another man in December.

Police found 29-year-old Deshawn Phillips suffering from multiple gunshot wounds on McHenry Avenue in East Westwood just after 10 a.m. on Dec. 31. He was driven to University of Cincinnati Medical Center, where he later died from his injuries.

A grand jury indicted 26-year-old Vaughn Montgomery Thursday on charges of aggravated murder and having weapons while under disability in Phillips' death. According to court records, Mongtomery wasn't allowed to have a gun because of a previous robbery conviction.

Montgomery was already being held in the Hamilton County Justice Center on unrelated charges when he was indicted.
