WEST UNION, Ohio -- The former president of the Peebles Life Squad Association was sentenced to 60 days in jail for stealing more than $28,000 from the organization.

In addition to the jail sentence, Renee Estep will also have to perform 200 hours of community service and spend two years on probation.

Estep pleaded guilty to the grand theft charge last month. She said she took the money to pay bills. She has already paid it back to the Life Squad Association.

Although the crime occured in Adams County, Estep won't serve her jail sentence there because her husband is a deputy there.

Estep will have to pay the $2,700 cost of her incarceration.
