MONTGOMERY, Ohio -- A former employee of Bethesda North Hospital stands charged with multiple counts of voyeurism after recording at least two women using the bathroom there, the Montgomery Police Department said.

Daniel Schantz, 29, used a cell phone to create video recordings of his fellow employees in the bathroom inside the Bethesda North Hospital employee lounge, according to an affidavit. After the cell phone was recovered, the two women said they recognized themselves in the footage on it.

“Once TriHealth became aware of the circumstances, we conducted an investigation, and the team member was permanently removed from the workplace," said Joe Kelly, a spokesperson for TriHealth.

He added that no patients had been involved or recorded in the incident.

Hamilton County authorities charged Schantz with misdemeanor voyeurism. If convicted of multiple counts, he could serve up to a year in prison.
