Have you been outside this week? It feels like mid July, not the start of fall.

But Starbucks and other big coffee chains are rolling out pumpkin spice lattes on this hottest week of August. We wanted to know: is it just too early?

Fans want it earlier and earlier

Jesse Herron says she doesn't care that it's still August. For her, the three words "pumpkin spice latte" are enough to get her excited.

"It reminds me of fall, though it will be a challenge to have it tomorrow since it's 90 degrees out. But it just reminds me of fall and everything pumpkin."

This is the earlier ever launch date for the 15-year-old beverage, a full week ahead of last year, according to USA Today.

But the #PSL craze ignites coffee shop sales. In addition to lattes, you can get pumpkin spice doughnuts, waffles, bacon, even breakfast cereal like Pumpkin Spice Cheerios.

The pumpkin spice frenzy has gotten so crazy in recent years that Dunkin Donuts released their pumpkin spice line one day early, to beat Starbucks to the punch.

Hannah Amari says its never too much, or too early.

"No no, I wish we could have it all year," she said.

And most of us agree, which is why it is now a $400 million a year industry.

Though if it's not your cup of tea, don't worry. Laura Baldi doesn't like it either.

"Honestly, it doesn't taste that great, I don't know what everyone's talking about," she said.

But many more people are getting excited about the #PSL craze, hot weather or not.

As always, don't waste your money.
