CRESCENT SPRINGS, KY — Who wants free Nashville-style hot chicken for a year?

That is what Louisville-based Joella’s Hot Chicken is offering to the first 100 adults in line for its 8 a.m. March 15 grand opening at 2440 High St. in Crescent Springs. Recipients will receive 52 coupons for chicken.

Crescent Springs is Joella’s first location in the Tri-State.

“Our team is thrilled about bringing our hot chicken concept to the Cincinnati market, a move that will allow Joella’s to become a new favorite staple in the Crescent Springs community as we continue to grow throughout the region,” said Tony Palombino, founder and CEO of EAP Restaurant Concepts.

In advance of the opening, the eatery is hosting a job fair from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily through Friday. It plans to employ about 75 workers.

The first Joella’s Louisville location opened in September and was featured in the Zagat’s restaurant guide. Joella’s offers six levels of heat for its chicken and serves sides such as mac and cheese, sweet-vinegar slaw, garlic fries, kale crunch salad and black-eyed pea salad. Craft beer is also on the menu.

Joella’s is planning future locations in the Tri-State, Indianapolis, St. Louis, Dayton, Columbus and Washington, D.C.  The Crescent Springs location joins competing Southern fried chicken restaurant Nashville Hot, which opened in the Buttermilk Shoppes in February.
