Overnight shootings in Cincinnati leave 1 dead, 3 injured

CINCINNATI — Four people total were shot in two separate incidents Monday night in Cincinnati, leaving one person dead.

Police say 22-year-old Terrance Smith was shot near 2329 Gilbert Ave. around 10 p.m. Monday. Smith was transported to University Hospital Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

After Smith was shot, police say his car, a white 2004 Lexus with an Ohio license plate number of GUH2057, was stolen from the scene. However, there is no suspect information at this time.

Then, a second shooting happened a little over a mile-and-a-half away in the 1500 block of St. Leger Place in Evanston around 11 p.m. Police said two men and one women were taken to UCMC but did not say how severe their injuries were.

Police say a man was seen driving an SUV east on St. Leger Place after this shooting.
