MASON, Ohio -- Kings Island is preparing for this year's WinterFest.
Crews have been working to transform the park's Royal Fountain into an ice rink for the event.
Kings Island shared a time-lapse video of the work. Watch it in the video player above.
The park said this year's event will be even bigger than last year's, with more than 5 million lights, live shows and as many as 19 rides.
WinterFest is open select nights from Nov. 23 through Dec. 31. Admission is free for Gold Pass members or $25.99.
