CINCINNATI – The Queen City now has a new fresh seafood dining option.

Court Street Lobster Bar opened Friday at W. 28 Court St., Downtown, next to the Queen City Exchange.

The eatery describes itself as a New England-style lobster shack that serves fresh, sustainable seafood. According to the restaurant's website, owner Dan Swormstedt came up with the lobster bar idea in 2011 in Washington, D.C., after seeing a similar eatery there.

Court Street Lobster Bar’s menu includes rolls made with Maine lobster, blue crab and shrimp; sides such as lobster macaroni and cheese, house-made slaw and purple au gratin potatoes; and appetizers such as lobster poutine, smoked fish pate and duck fat fingerling potatoes. Court Street’s bar has eight beers on tap and a wide range of liquors and wines as well.

Each food item is available for catering and carry-out, as well as dine-in orders.

Court Street Lobster Bar is open 10:30 a.m.-10 p.m. Monday-Wednesday and 10:30 a.m.-midnight Thursday-Saturday.
