WATCH: Severe storms ravage areas of Tri-State overnight

Severe thunderstorms hit areas of the Tri-State overnight Wednesday, uprooting trees and damaging property in areas of Ohio. The National Weather Service confirmed a tornado touched down in Clinton County at about 3 a.m., with wind speeds of 80 mph.

The storm also damaged trees on Miami University’s Oxford campus. See video of that below. 


Chopper 9 captured footage of damage in Clinton County, Ohio, where a tornado struck at about 3 a.m. 


A fallen tree also trapped a family in their Springboro home.
