CINCINNATI -- Thousands of Duke Energy customers lost power Friday night as storms lashed the Greater Cincinnati area, according to numbers shown on the company's Ohio-Kentucky outage map.
The map reported over 12,000 outages total by 6 p.m., with around 2,000 concentrated in and around Cincinnati. Further out, it showed that nearly 5,000 customers in Mason, Ohio, had lost power.
By 11 p.m., the total number of outages had been reduced to just over 2,000 across Ohio and Kentucky.
