CINCINNATI -- A wrong-way driver died early Sunday after a head-on crash on Interstate 75, according to police.
Daniel J. Wedig, 21, was headed north in the southbound lanes near Mitchell Avenue at about 1 a.m., Cincinnati police said. Wedig's car collided with Stephen K. Dehner's truck, and he died at the scene.
Dehner, 57, suffered serious injuries. The Cincinnati Fire Department took him to University of Cincinnati Medical Center.
Both were wearing seat belts.
Police aren't sure if speed, alcohol use or drug use were factors in the crash.
The Cincinnati Police Department's Traffic Unit is investigating. Any witnesses are asked to call 513-352-2514.
