CINCINNATI -- Speeding played a part in a fatal motorcycle crash early Sunday morning, according to the Cincinnati Police Department.

Motorcyclist Darrell Sneed, 42, rear-ended a Chevrolet Impala as the car changed lanes on Reading Road near Dana Avenue, a news release from CPD's Traffic Unit said.

Motorcycle passenger Catherine Cameron, 50, was thrown from the vehicle and later died of her injuries at University of Cincinnati Medical Center.

Cameron wasn't wearing a helmet, Cincinnati police said.

Sneed was wearing a helmet and suffered minor injuries.

The Impala's driver wasn't hurt.
