CINCINNATI — Southbound Interstate-71 was closed at Reading Road for approximately four hours as crews clear a crash that hospitalized two people, according to officials.
The Cincinnati Police Department said the victims were transported to University of Cincinnati Medical Center in serious condition. Both had been trapped inside a vehicle on fire, officials said.

Cincinnati Police Capt. Doug Snider said the Traffic Unit is investigating the cause of the crash.
The highway reopened early Wednesday morning.
