GREEN TOWNSHIP, Ohio -- A driver died Monday after rear-ending a vehicle and running into a day care center.

Green Township police believe he overdosed.

Daniel Schwartz, 33, was headed north on Colerain Avenue just before 5 p.m.

He got into the center turn lane just past Blue Road Road and hit Richard Baringhaus' SUV, according to Green Township police.

Then Schwartz backed up, crossed into the northbound lanes and finally came to a stop when he hit Waverly's Hope Child Care.

Colerain Township police administered CPR and Narcan to Schwartz and a back seat passenger until Green Township police arrived.

Schwartz was transported to Mercy West Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The back seat passenger, Desaree Hinchcliff, refused to be transported.

A front seat passenger was transported to Mercy West, where she was treated and released.

No one in Baringhaus's vehicle or the day care was hurt.

Green Township police and the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office are investigating.
