CINCINNATI — A three-block stretch of Second Street will be closed for 10 days later this month so that "ninjas" can climb, swing and leap their way through an obstacle course for a TV show.

"American Ninja Warrior" is set to film at The Banks, and Second Street will be closed between Elm and Walnut from May 18-27 for the setup and filming, city officials said Monday. Race and Vine streets over Fort Washington Way will also be closed.

Police will be stationed along Second Street during morning and afternoon rush hours to help direct drivers around the area.

The period will also overlap with the annual Taste of Cincinnati festival over Memorial Day weekend. Fifth Street will be closed between Main and the ramps to Interstate 71 and Columbia Parkway from 6 p.m. May 24 until 5 a.m. May 28 for that event.

Also, the Eat & Run 5K will take place at The Banks starting at 10 a.m. on Sunday, May 26. The race will start and end at Sentinel and Culvert streets and run along Eggleston Avenue and Pete Rose Way, closing some roads along the way.
