The technology is called a Robotic Angiographic System. The system uses a robot to guide catheters through a patient's arteries allowing doctors to see the inside of the arteries, and in some cases treat them. What's new is that Good Samaritan Hospital is the first to use this new treatment in the arteries inside a patient's head. Dr. Ringer says this approach is far more beneficial for patients than previous treatment methods.
