Ravens Cornerback Tray Walker dies after crash

Baltimore Ravens cornerback Tray Walker has died following a motorbike crash in his hometown in southern Florida, his agent confirmed.

Walker was driving his motorbike in his hometown of Miami on Thursday night when he was hit by a car. According to the police report, Walker’s bike did not have lights and he was wearing dark clothing.

Walker was transported to Jackson Memorial Hospital in Thursday night in critical condition. He died from his injuries Friday evening. 

Walker had just finished his rookie season with the Baltimore Ravens. He was 23 years old.

The Ravens confirmed Walker's death and planned to release statements later in the day.

"We have spoken with Tray Walker’s emergency contact, his godmother, who confirmed to us that Tray has passed," An early statement from the team said.

Meanwhile, teammates took to social media to share their grief after hearing the news of the young player's death.

 

 

 

Walker appeared in eight games for the Ravens in 2015. He was drafted in the fourth round of the 2015 NFL draft after he recorded seven interceptions in three seasons at Texas Southern University.
