The Wyoming Cowboys earned a hard-fought 29-12 win over the Valley View Spartans Friday night in the OHSAA Division four playoffs.

The Cowboys (12-0) opened up the scoring on a 29-yard touchdown pass from senior QB Andrew Marty.

Valley View (10-2) seemed to have retaliated quickly, though, as they drove 77 yards on their next possession. They were ultimately stopped after a missed field goal and weren't able to score until their last possession of the first quarter.

Wyoming expanded their lead in the second quarter by scoring twice to make it a 21-6 game. The Cowboys held onto their defense for the rest of the game.

Andrew Marty went 16 of 24 for 254 passing yards and four touchdowns.

Most of those yards were hauled in by Garyn Prater, who had five catches for 127 yards. Jake Edmonds also had a big game: five catches for 64 yards and two touchdowns.

Collin Wood led Valley Views' offense with 17 carries for 115 yards and a touchdown.

Up next, Wyoming will face Archbishop Alter in their first Regional final since 2009.
