Princeton denied playoff spot despite 49-14 win

UPDATE: Princeton had appeared to clinch a Division  II playoff spot Friday night, but that was before it was discovered that one of its opponents had to forfeit two wins.  Read what happened.

Quarterback Solomon Reed accounted for four touchdowns and Princeton beat GMC foe Middletown 49-14 Friday night.

Reed completed 16 of 21 for 209 yards and three touchdowns, plus he ran for a  TD and 41 yards on six rushes.

Viking Raymond Kozlowski had 80 yards receiving on four catches while also recording a 63-yard interception return for a touchdown.

Middie quarterback Blake Marshall was 12 of 25 for 142 yards with a touchdown and interception.

It was all Vikings on the scoreboard and the stat sheet: They recorded 375 total yards to the Middies' 257 and also controlled the clock 21:35 minutes to 16:06.

Princeton (6-4) finished  3-4 in the GMC. Middletown finished the season 0-10.
