NEW RICHMOND, Ohio -- Michael Williamson found the end zone three times and racked up 150 yards rushing on nine carries as he helped New Richmond win its third straight game.

Teammate Austin Torrens scored the Lions' other 18 points on two touchdown runs, a 36-yard field goal and three extra points. He also ran for 74 yards and threw a touchdown pass to Williamson.

After allowing 38.7 points in its first three contests, New Richmond has given up just 9.3 points over the last three tilts. The Lions' defense has given up just six total points in the past two games.

The Amelia offense moved the ball between the 20s, but three turnovers aided in the Barons' demise.

Amelia ran 20 more plays than New Richmond and won the time of possession battle but still fell by 30 points.

It was the fourth time this season that the Barons have lost by 29 points or more.

The next two weeks will make or break New Richmond’s playoff aspirations: The Lions host Western Brown next Friday. Then it's off to Goshen, which will in all likelihood be 6-1 heading into that affair.
