Braves’ quarterback Reid Aicholz ran for three touchdowns on the ground, and threw for two more. Indian Hill (8-0 overall, 5-0 Cincinnati Hills League) jumped to a 20-7 halftime, and led 27-7 on the first play of the third when Colin Shaw hauled in a double pass from Eric Heidel (after a lateral from Reid Aichholz) from 40 yards out.

Madeira (4-4, 2-3) got back into the game when Nick Cedillo returned a fumble 39 yards, and then cut the lead to one score when Mark Manfredi went in from the 2 to make it 27-21 late in the third quarter.

Reid Aichholz then figured into the next two scores for Indian Hill to gain separation again. First, he capped a drive with a 6-yard run to make it 34-21, and then hit Dawson Aichholz from 10 yards out to make it 41-21. Madeira scored quickly when Cedillo caught a 62-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Kyle Johnson to make it 41-28.

Madeira tried the onside kick, but Indian Hill recovered and ran out the clock.

Indian Hill’s first two scores came when Reid Aichholz had a 17-yard touchdown run, and then Zarian Hunter-Cure hauled in a 36 yard pass to make it 13-0.

Indian Hill, currently projected to be in the Ohio Division IV, Region 14 playoffs, control their own destiny for a playoff berth and home game, and will continue their quest for a perfect regular season resumes next Friday when they visit Deer Park.

Madeira, needing to win their last two games for any chance at a playoff berth in D-IV, and a winning season, travels to Cleves to take on Taylor.
