HARRISON, Ohio -- The Harrison Wildcats scored 42 unanswered points to defeat Western Brown, 62-14, Friday night at Bill Kuntz Field.

Harrison (4-2) junior running back Gerald Smith led the Wildcats to the quick victory as the running clock started just over a minute left in the first half. Smith finished the game with 231 all-purpose yards and three touchdowns.

That included a 65-yard run in the first quarter, 39-yard touchdown reception in the second quarter, and returned a kickoff 70 yards in the third quarter for a touchdown.

Smith was not the only Harrison player to have a career day: Senior running back Alex Anderson was at it again as he rushed for 138 yards and three touchdowns. This was after he tallied 169 yards and three touchdowns two weeks ago against Little Miami. The senior running back has scored in every game this season, and has totaled 11 rushing touchdowns during that span.

Six Wildcats combined to rush the football for 308 yards and average just over 9 yards per carry.

The Harrison defense continued to dominate opponents as they forced five turnovers. Junior defensive back Drew Banks recovered a fumble and had an interception. Junior Bailey Smith and sophomore Austin Campton each had a forced fumble, and junior Nick Vanderpohl had an interception. The Wildcats have only allowed 45 points during this four-game win streak, this coming after they started the season 0-2.

Western Brown (4-2) had minimal offensive production with the exception of junior quarterback Chaiten Tomlin. The junior gained 296 total yards, including 124 yards on the ground. He also found the end zone on two passing occasions, both caught by senior wide receiver Eean Hornung. The senior wide receiver finished the game with 111 receiving yards.

This is only the second time these schools have played in school history, with Harrison winning both meetings.

Next week Harrison will play at Mount Healthy; both teams are undefeated in the conference. Western Brown will have a conference matchup at New Richmond.
