Beechwood cruises past Louisville Holy Cross 44-0

The Beechwood Tigers quest for to make it back to Bowling Green and the Class A state championship game for a second straight year continued on Friday night as they shutout Louisville Holy Cross 44-0.

Beechwood (11-1) outgained the Cougars on offense by a 281-35 margin and dominated time of possession by holding on to the football for over 33 of the game’s 48 minutes.

Junior Brayden Burch connected with senior Aiden Justice from 30 yards for a score less than 90 seconds into the contest, and the Tigers never looked back.

After a safety, Justice added a second touchdown when he ran a score in from 21 yards out with 4:26 left in the opening frame, giving the Tigers a 16-0 lead.

Justice score twice more and finished the night with 129 total yards on just 10 touches. Teammate James Davis would add 52 yards and a TD on nine carries for the win.

A trip to Kentucky Country Day is up next for Beechwood following their 56-6 romp over Frankfort on Friday.
