High school football fans selected Wilmington’s Dylan Beaugard as the WCPO Player of the Week for Week 2, giving him 25 percent of the vote.

Beaugard edged Mitchell Orschell of Franklin County (24 percent) and Deer Park’s Jordan Yelling (13 percent) in the voting conducted by TriStateFootball.com. In total, 13 players were nominated with 10,346 votes cast.

Beaugard tallied 247 all-purpose yards, including 163 yards rushing on 13 carries with three touchdowns,  as the ‘Canes blew past Greenville, 26-7. He also had. six tackles.

TSF will present awards to each of this season’s Player of the Week winners at the TSF Year in Review Shows  in mid-to-late February (more details coming soon).
