CINCINNATI -- It was hard to watch Rob Gronkowski run all over the Bengals last weekend while our own titan of a tight end -- Tyler Eifert -- stood on the sidelines.
Bengals fans saw a ray of hope on Thursday when Eifert suited up for practice and fully participated in 11-on-11 drills. After practice, he told reporters "In my mind I'm ready."
Eifert injured his ankle in the 2016 Pro Bowl. Two weeks ago, he injured his back.
"Physically, I feel good, and mentally, I've been with this offense long enough to where I didn't just forget the plays not practicing," he told ESPN. "Obviously there are some things I need to brush up on ... but I feel good about where I'm at."
Last year, Eifert was the team's top scorer. For a stretch of time, he led the league in TE touchdowns.
Pure speculation: Do you think Eifert will play on Sunday?
