ROCHESTER, NY -- FC Cincinnati’s four-match winning streak was halted Saturday when the club lost 1-0 to the Rochester Rhinos.

The Rhinos’ Brandon Kamden Fewo scored a second-half goal to decide the match. The game dropped FCC to 1-4-1 on the road and 4-5-3 overall. The Rhinos are undefeated at Capelli Sport Stadium.

FC Cincinnati Head Coach Alan Koch said the team made “wholesale changes” Saturday night, as it was the team’s sixth game in 21 days.

“We had to preserve some players and it was an opportunity to give others that have been working hard their chance,” Koch said in a release. “Rochester is one of the toughest places in the league to go and earn points and unfortunately tonight we did not achieve our goal. We look forward to regrouping this week and getting ready for Charlotte.”

Fewo scored in the 65th minute after receiving the ball on the left flank and rocketing the ball from outside the box. The Rhinos outshot FC Cincinnati 10-6, and they limited FCC to one shot in the first half.

FCC had three opportunities off of corner kicks, but they were unable to find the back of the net.

The Orange and Blue had five shots in the second half with two on target.

Josu made his debut for FC Cincinnati. He came off the bench in the 74th minute and had one shot on goal.

FCC will play Charlotte at 7 p.m. Saturday at Nippert Stadium.
