CINCINNATI — Soccer fans, mark your calendars: FC Cincinnati’s home opener against DC United is set for March 14, 2020.
For the Orange and Blue, the 2020 season starts against the New York Red Bulls March 1 and Atlanta United FC on March 7.
FC Cincinnati and DC United tied 0-0 in their last match on Oct. 6, and DC United thwarted FC Cincy 4-1 at their first meeting on July 18. The match on March 14 will mark the first of 17 FCC home games for the 2020 season.
The team’s second season will also be its last at Nippert Stadium before moving to its new $250 million stadium in the West End in 2021.
Major League Soccer announced each team’s home opener Thursday as it adds Inter Miami CF to the Eastern Conference and Nashville SC to the Western Conference, bringing the total number of MLS teams to 26.
Broadcast information for the games is still to be announced, team officials said.
