CINCINNATI -- FC Cincinnati released two players, the team announced Friday.

Forward Daryl Fordyce, from Northern Ireland, requested a release due to personal reasons related to his family, according to a news release. He joined FC Cincinnati in January and played nine games for the team.

Defender Derek Luke, of Bridgewater, New Jersey, was issued a medical release. He will undergo rehabilitation for knee surgery. This was Luke's second season with the team. He played in 29 games last year.
