Wind and rain Thursday night meant the first and second halves of FC Cincinnati's game against the Tampa Bay Rowdies were separated by a two-hour "halftime," and neither half went in FC's favor.
The Blue and Orange lost 2-0 to the Rowdies at the end of the night. The loss might have been worse, however, without several close saves by star goalie Mitch Hildebrandt.
United Soccer League president Jake Edwards tweeted a special thank-you to fans who had stayed through the entire game, as did FC Cincinnati head coach Alan Koch.
"We greatly appreciate your support," he wrote. "Through good (and) bad together."
If FC Cincinnati's own Twitter feed is any indicator, the conditions were rough.
We're still on that delay, and no update on a restart time for #TBRvCIN yet. Here's a live shot of the bay... pic.twitter.com/9f7h3DbYgZ

Let's hope for smoother sailing next time.
