The low-battery warning is the bane of iPhone users everywhere, so try this trick to get your smartphone charged up as quickly as possible.
Tech Insider suggests putting your iPhone 6 or newer model on airplane mode before plugging into an iPad wall charger instead of the standard iPhone charger.
The iPad charger provides 2.1 amps per second of charging, Tech Insider explains, as compared to just 1 amp per second from the iPhone charger or 0.5 amps per second when plugged into a computer’s USB slot.
They were able to recharge an iPhone 6S Plus to 10 percent in just five minutes, compared to only 5 percent of the battery when using the standard iPhone charger. Using this method charges the iPhone 6 and newer models about one hour faster, Tech Insider claims.
Results vary depending on your phone’s battery age, how well it’s been maintained and whether it is charged properly or not, Tech Insider says.
