MASSILLON, Ohio -- Freightway Transportation services is encumbered with cucumbers, and it’s asking anyone with a love of salads, spa facials or soaking things in brine to lend a helping hand.

According to a Facebook post from the company, a 40,000-pound shipment of cucumbers was rejected by its intended recipient because the boxes shifted during shipping. The cavalcade of ‘cumbers is so copious that food banks won’t take it because moving them would take too much manpower.

That means they’re ripe for the picking for everyone else.

“Please let us know if anyone wants to come fill up a bag, a box or a truck,” the Facebook post reads.

It's a bit of a hike from Greater Cincinnati to Massillon in Stark County, but according to Freightway, you’re free to collect your coveted cukes at no cost.
