SPRINGFIELD, Ohio (AP) — Denial pleas have been entered in an Ohio juvenile court for two teen girls accused of engaging in a plot leading to the fatal stabbing of one teen's mother.

The hearing Friday in central Ohio's Clark County was the first for the girls, ages 13 and 15, after being charged with murder and felonious assault in an attack at the 13-year-old's New Carlisle home early Thursday. Authorities say the 15-year-old killed her friend's mother and wounded her father and 17-year-old brother.

Authorities say the teens conspired when the 13-year-old's parents told her she could no longer meet with the friend.

WDTN-TV reports Clark County Prosecutor Daniel Driscoll says it's too early to decide whether to charge the 15-year-old as adult. The 13-year-old is too young to face adult charges.
