CINCINNATI -- More than 6,000 homes in Greater Cincinnati suddenly lost power Thursday night, according to a Duke Energy spokesperson -- seemingly for no reason.

Nearly all of the homes affected were in Colerain Township, North College Hill, Groesbeck and White Oak.

Duke Energy had not identified a cause as of 11 p.m., but power had returned to the area by 1 a.m.

This is a developing story.
